Agentic AI RAG Architecture Begins With the Data Map
Agentic RAG programs often begin with orchestration diagrams, model choices, or central data platforms. This article argues that public institutions should begin with data topology instead. It explains why export-into-the-lake architectures can create control, audit, jurisdiction, and egress problems before the mission value is proven. The piece is written for senior public-sector leaders deciding whether agentic AI should centralize evidence or execute closer to existing data landscapes.
